These include Carrefour, Giant Hypermarket, IKEA, JUSCO, Mydin, Parkson, SOGO and Tesco. To avoid duplication, these stores are not mentioned in the list below.

The Klang Valley area ias a makor hub for shopping in Malaysia, with over 100 shopping malls around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Bukit Bintang, has 10 shopping malls located in that area.

Johor is the new shopping hub in Malaysia besides Klang Valley. Retail development in Johor increased due to the development of Iskandar Malaysia. Johor appears to be on top for the shopping spot rather than Klang Valley between the year of 2008-2011 with around 10 new malls opened. Johor has around 150+ shopping malls currently by 2011 beating Klang valley.
Although the state of Penang has lost much of its shopping grandeur of the past, it retains its status as the major shopping hub for the northern region. It has several modern shopping malls offering a wide range of merchandise.
